I know that proper English and writing skills are extremely valuable to becoming a successful student and well-rounded adult.  My plan is to incorporate fun, innovative writing projects and to teach grammar in an exciting way!  I usually hang our big writing projects in the junior high hallway, so check out our hall when you're in the building!  I will use the 6-Trait Writing Model for most writing assignments. They wll be given a grading rubric before beginning the writing assignment so they know what I will be grading on and looking for! Students will be responsible for revising and editing their own papers before writing or typing their final copies.  7th graders also have to do creative writing in their journals two days a week.  They will be given points for their effort.
